Went to the Royal Melbourne Show last year expecting to be impressed only to find all these dreadful marble, glass and metal spikey gardens......then just as I was giving up I spied a sign which said "in an English Country Garden" and I thought "OH Yeh!". But I was wrong....it was beautiful complete with crumbling wall, silver birch and a Lloyd looom setting ready for tea. It brought tears of nostalgia to my eye..the designer told me he had been inspired by real English gardens during his visit to England and the Chelsea Flower Show. My little patch of England got Best in show and "Gold Medal Winner". Without a doubt the best and gentlest gardens in the world! But I am biased.

Keep 'em coming, Norm - am having a wonderfully nostalgic time looking at your pics. My garden was a treat until Saturday, when we had a violent hailstorm for almost 15 minutes. The hostas which were really good this year have been shredded! What a mess. The whole weekend was full of violent weather, water spouts abounded in the waters off PEI. The cloud formations were awesome, and a bit scary. I kept looking for the funnel cloud as the temperature dropped to 12 degrees from 23 (celcius) in about a5 minutes.

Diane I'd be delighted to show you my home and garden. Nothing had been done here for nye on 20 years so I had a blank canvass to work on and have enjoyed it so much. The front garden was an absolute pigs ear but was lovely getting the reaction of passers by as I worked in the front garden. Rather gratifying too to have stranger's comments of how it was beginning to look like an English Country garden. It hadn't been my intention but I suppose old habits die hard. Now how on earth do I add photos to this blog? Might need your advice Stormie!

T'ain't difficult, in fact child's play for an ex C'woodie, Babs. Click on 'Create post' then click on the picture icon, which will open a window and invite you to select a photo from your files. When you selected one, click on the 'open' tab and again on 'upload'. After a few seconds (or sometimes minutes if the server is busy), a message 'uploaded' will appear. You then go back to the creat post screen and enter your title and body text. You get the option to preview it before hitting the 'publish' button. If for whatever reason you want to change something, e.g. add another picture or add / edit text, you simply go back to the dashboard (upon which a list of posts appears) and click on edit. Good luck (as though a C'woodie needs it)!

Well Paul, I copied your instruction and then hit a flaw! As a guest to Stormies Blog and without a Blog myself....I cannot for the life of me find a button to click onto which says "Create".........once I do find that then I am sure it will be a doddle.....but right now I haven't got a hope in hell!!!

Oh yeah, of course, you've got to be a member 'cos it's technically a separate blog. In that case Norm has to send you and invite, which you have to accept, etc. Try it on the PRS blog to see if it works and to get the hang of it and then when you get your invite from Norm, Bob's your uncle. Hey Bob! :)
