FO 82 B was a Simca V8 owned by my father in 1959. A monster of a car to me age 14. This rather 'dogeared' photo shows it parked outside Drake Boys entrance at Whitsun (Easy Weekend) in the same year.
Some useless information...I think this one is a Simca Ariane. There was also a Simca Aquillon. Difficult to tell them apart. The engine was a Ford of France lump of 2351 ccs (really quite small for a V8) and of side valve or flathead type. These engines became available to Simca after they took over Ford of France in the mid 1950s. The base models of these beasts didn't even have adjustable seats - discrimination against legless midgets.

Looks almost a cross between the Hawk and a Hillman Minx Norm.
