Hull Fair History

Hull Fair moved to its present location in 1888 and it is the largest travelling fair in Europe. It is also one of the oldest, celebrating its 700 year anniversary in 1993. Many say that it is one of the loudest fairs in Europe and it has been described as 'the festival of light'

The Book

My first meeting with John Simes...during the early stages of compliling 'THE BOOK' John and Sylvia had been celebrating a wedding anniversary down South....maybe Winchester, where they had met all those years' before. They came to dinner so that John and I could chat about strategy.......actually, John had already drawn up a list of instructions for me! Babs.
